US equities at Wall Street ended on a high note
US equities at Wall Street ended on a high note as Republicans made gains in midterm elections, as expected, and investors anticipated more economic stimulus from the Federal Reserve.
Jerry Webman, chief economist and senior investment officer at OppenheimerFunds in New York said: "Everything is coming in as expected. We're looking at gridlock."The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.6 percent, the Standard &Poor's 500 was up 0.8 percent and the Nasdaq Composite Index was firmed at 1.1 percent.
