Need to understand Annualized Total Return
I'm new to investing and want to understand how to read the image I added below. Specifically, I want to know what the "annualized total return" means and why is the return for the 1st year always higher than the 3rd,5th, and 10th years? And finally can anyone also give me an example with actual numbers? So if I start investing in Eaton Vance Large Cap Value A with $1,000 what will my returns be? Thanks in advance.
