Cool European stocks FTSE, DAX and CAC were seen on a quite good opening

The European stocks namely the FTSE, DAX and CAC were seen on a quite good opening as investors went for a bargain hunting following a sharp sell-off, with banks among the top risers. Philippe Gijsels, head of research at BNP Paribas Fortis Global Markets in Brussels said: "We are technically very oversold so we expect to see a bounce in the market. But the longer term picture is still quite challenging and problems remain. Itlay has just made cuts to its budget which mean the economy will be put under severe pressure for quite some time."

FTSE rose 1.7 percent, CAC and the DAX rose 1.6 & 2.5 percent.
