I think it would depend on if the jewelry design was patented or certain trademarks were engraved into the jewelry. Don't take this as legal advice, you would have to get a response from someone with more legal experience than me. I hope this helps.

Hi Zinta,
Jewelry can either have a design registered or a trade-mark registered. If so, you cannot contravene either of these.
Antique jewelry, say over 200 years old, is unlikely to have either a trade-mark or a design registered.
The only safe course of action is to consult a patent attorney/lawyer in the jurisdiction in which you operate. The Patents Office may have some relevant information for you.
