HSBC to Cut US Jobs

Hi, I just saw a news on Google finance, plz readt it - HSBC, Europe's largest bank by market value, reported a 70 percent drop in 2008 profit and said it would raise $17.7 billion in new capital through a share issue, while cutting 6100 jobs as it shutters consumer loan businesses in the United States.

And send me your opinion that what you think to this news.

Thanks!
