The dollar gained against the euro and yen when the data showed business activity in the US manufacturing sector came in stronger than expected in October.The greenback came under pressure against most other major currencies, as the market geared up for the Federal Reserve to step up money printing after its policy meeting on Nov. 2-3.The euro was down against the dollar to $1.3907. The dollar was last at 80.48 yen.
