Cool US markets on a flat note

The Dow & S&P ended up on a flat note when the South Korean naval ship sinked. On the other hand, technology shares were down and this kept the Nasdaq at negative side. Charles Lieberman, chief investment officer of Advisors Capital Management in Paramus said: "Depending on what happened, this could raise global tensions, which will unnerve investors."
Analysts said: "News of the ship sinking hit the sentiment. And some suggested that the incident was an excuse for investors to sell stocks in what is increasingly viewed as an overvalued market."
Dow Jones closed at 0.08 percent at 10,850.36. The S&P 500 index was 0.07 percent up to end at 1,166.59, while the Nasdaq sank 0.10 percent to close at 2,395.13.
