Smile European equities FTSE,CAC and DAX ended on a gray note

European equities like the FTSE , CAC and DAX ended on a gray note as UBS, which is a global financial services company fell when it reported that its investment banking unit made a loss, and adding to that weaker US house prices cast further doubt on the strength of the economic recovery.Analysts said weak economic data boosted hopes that the Federal Reserve would announce further quantitative easing (QE).Falls in heavyweight basic resources stocks also put pressure on the equity market. Miners also fell, as a stronger dollar hurt metals prices. FTSE Index, DAX Index & CAC Index were down by 0.4 -0.8 percent respectively.
